K-12 Physical Education
![]() Welcome! My name is Emily Bernhardt and I am a Pittsburg Alumni (Class of 1998). In 2002, I graduated from Keene State College with a BS in Physical Education Teacher Cert. K-12. Then in Oct. of 2013, I graduated from Kaplan University with my second degree, a BS in Health & Wellness. I am about to start my 13th year of teaching here at Pittsburg School. I have the privilege of being able to work with all students, I teach K-12 Physical Education. | Along with teaching I’m on the Wellness committee here at our school and the founder of the TEEN-Cook-off. This program is a great way to bring together our community and school. It was established in Pittsburg in 2011. Several years ago the Cook-off was SAU 7 wide, Pittsburg, Stewartstown and Colebrook. This year I have teamed up with Stacey Purslow from UNH Farm to school program and we are taking this program state wide next year 2016-2017. If you would like more information or may be interested in helping to make this program even more successful you can contact me (Emily Bernhardt) at Pittsburg School 538-6536. On January 7, 2016 I went to present this program-NH TEEN Cook-off to Commissioner Barry and the New Hampshire Board of Education. The Board unanimously voted to endorse the NH TEEN Cook-off. It is great to think that our little school helped to establish a program that will be going state wide. |
