The link from Scholastic & BookFlix may not work without a Bookflix account, so here's another option, from animator Dan P. Lyons:

"Shake the Papaya Down!"  The "Visual Musical Minds" version with a drum part.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGIGOKJx7f4&list=RDQMgVs_Z1-f49k&index=1

For a fast follow-along family challenge:  "Deteggtive Andersen" Percussion Playalong:      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y37jIRSR9bA&t=3s

Week 4:   April 13     Strumming, Plucking, & Sounds of Spring    aka ("Zin, Zin, Zin, We're tired of staying IN!")
YouTube link to Zin! Zin! --Weston Woods:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pOZ7r-5VAc

Making a home-made strummable or pluckable string instrument:  There are a zillion ideas... be creative!  The real point is to play with vibrations from preferably 2 or more different lengths and/or types of "strings" attached to something and in a way that the strings can move,  make sound, and have a sound that's  changeable when shortened or lengthened.
Examples:  rubber bands, string, thread, fishline.   Boxes, pie plates, take-out containers... the options are endless!      LP.Instruments.RubberBandMusic.pdf

WEEK #3:  Ordinary Miracles:  Hope and Flying Pigs!
Grade 3 & 4:  Let's Clap!   "Chanting" is speaking the sounds without singing them. This doesn't assign numbers or counts, but creates the sound for the different durations.
For a 1-beat Quarter Note, we say "Ta"  (rhymes with "Ma & Pa")
    Two-beat Half Notes get a 2-pulse sound:  "Ta-ah"
A 1-beat rest still gets its time, but whispered as "Ha"

"Music is a whole-body experience" says Ms. P all the time... so "CLAPPING" the rhythms helps the whole body connect with what the music and time feel like.

Easter Egg Rhythms:     This challenge activity is a colorful version of musical math.  For each section, add the values (In beats, how much time a sound or silence is worth) to know what color to use.   (Hint:  pencil in the answers first!)

1 Quarter Note or a Quarter Rest = 1 Beat

2 8th Notes together = 1 beat

Half note or Half Rest (hat-shaped) = 2 beats

Dotted Half Note = 3 beats

Whole Note or Whole Rest = 4 beats
